Leveraging Your Network For Good
Hoarding your network is so 2024. These days, with so many people communicating across various platforms, your network is your access to riches, but not in the way that you think.
When traditionals think about their network, they envision thousands of people in their rolodex that they have accumulated over the years in order to bring business in the door, or bail their kids out of jail.
But in 2025, your network is your superpower. Your connection to the world. Your resource to lift others up.
Here are three ways to leverage your network for good:
- If someone is interested in a job posting at a company in which you have connections, introduce them to as many company officials as you have access to. Doing so not only helps your friend, but if they turn out to be a great employee, then you connections only grow stronger.
- Do you desire to shadow someone at another company to learn how others do it? (sidebar: you should shadow other company execs because your way isn’t always the best way.) Throw the offer to spend a week in an exchange out to your network.
- Sometimes we have to reduce our workforce for reasons outside of our control. We lost the contract? Our major client filed for bankruptcy. Your network is the fastest place to find a new home for your talented team members that need a new home.
I could talk about this all day long - but it is Friday and you are ready to tune out. You have spent years nurturing your network. Don’t let it go to waste.

I practice law. I lobby. I speak. I write. I coach.
That last one, that is the service line that ticks more of my boxes than any others. I have a 12 week curriculum geared toward executive leaders who are new to their team, building a team from scratch, or taking over an entire company. For 12 weeks we talk about leading well, building trust, and maximizing the bottom line through effective and authentic human leadership. Graduates then join our executive community.
It isn’t for everyone, nor is it for every budget. I am not looking to coach too many executives and have 3 slots open right now.
